The animals.
For the last five years I have lived in the mountains of Ecuador. In the rainforest there are hundreds of species of animals that I have never seen before. I have moved back to the states and have been waiting to return to CAOS. I hope to see you soon my friends. Regards, Gary Kennedy

To all the beautiful butterfies
My son, Keenan and I traveled from Tampa Florida to San Francisco on the 2nd week of May of this year and had the pleasure to come and visit your Academy of Sciences. It was such a breathtaking experience to walk through as your magical little wings fluttered around us so freely and softly. Your presence made us feel as though we were far away from such a big city almost in another dimension. The peace you bring is a gift.
Love, Keenan & KaLeena

To the penguins and the rays
During the 3 days I was in bed with vertigo , I was able to feel good when I could focus on watching the penguins and the rays swimming and playing through the cameras that were there.

The popsicle shark
Dear Popsicle Shark, I haven’t seen you in many years; you didn’t make the move after the ‘89 quake and rebuild. But you were my favorite exhibit when I was a kid at the old Steinhart Aquarium. I stared at you, transfixed, for as long as my mom would let me. I particularly remember the long icicles that would hang from your nose or tail. I miss you. You are a favorite memory. I hope you still reside in the museum collection. Please know someone still remembers you and thinks of you fondly.
Love, Kirstin

General Staff at Cal Academy of Sciences
So glad that you've survived the pandemic. I can't wait to come visit again. It's been way too long, but you are on my bucket list to visit sometime soon. Keep up the good work taking care of the animals, as well as maintaining the exhibits for all to enjoy.
A Big Fan

Dearest Sea Dragons,
I have so missed spending perhaps too much time at your little water home, coming dangerously close to pressing my nose against your home's walls. You mesmerize me. I promise to see you soon.

CA Academy of Sciences
My family and I have been members for many years now as CA Academy of Sciences is by far the universal favorite of all our various family memberships. We really missed you all and are so very happy that you are back, perhaps better and certainly safer than ever. We are most appreciative of everything that the Academy has done to communicate with members throughout the current coronavirus pandemic since it shut down most everything in-person from last March 2020 to present. It was SO AWESOME to finally be able to return to one of the BEST exhibits that the Academy has ever produced, SHARKS! We visited on opening day spending 3 hours just within that exhibit and loved it so much we returned to view it again just a couple weeks later. Thank you for all that you have done and all you continue to do to advance both knowledge and experience thru science.
With eternal love for the sciences, the Bostic family

Dr. Scott
I liked your Dino facts that came at the end of Dinosaur Train. I liked seeing the “Dino fish” a.k.a. the Alligator Gar at the Steinhart Aquarium.
