Ichthyology curator Luiz Rocha is departing today to the Philippines to be an instructor at the workshop "Genomic Applications to Marine Science and Resource Management in South East Asia". The workshop will be held at the Pan-Pacific Advanced Studies Institute (PacASI), Silliman University, Dumaguete.
The Advanced Studies Institute program is an initiative supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) through a grant to Academy fellow Kent Carpenter and aims to propagate advance knowledge and training between leading scientists and researchers from the U.S. and host region countries. We will blog often with updates from the workshop.
