Group tickets and pricing
Groups of up to 20 guests may purchase tickets online in advance or at the ticket window on the day of your visit.
Groups of 21 or more guests may receive discounted tickets when purchasing via a single pre-paid booking. Email our team at groupsales@calacademy.org to get started. Note that PreK-12 teachers in California wishing to plan a visit to the Academy during the school day should refer to field trip options.
For the best prices and selection of entry times, we strongly recommend purchasing as far in advance as possible, especially if you plan to visit on a weekend or holiday. Ticket prices vary by entry time and date, and not all entry times may be available on the date of your choice. Children 2 and under and Academy members always visit for free!
Group visit guidelines

- Member benefits do not apply to group entry.
- The entire group must be fully assembled at the time of entry.
- Discounted tickets cannot be applied to the purchase of an Academy membership on the day of your visit.
Pre-paid dining options
Make lunch easy at the Academy with a prepaid boxed lunch or Academy gift card! Gift cards can be used at the Academy Café and Terrace Restaurant and are perfect for trip planners on tight schedules. Boxed lunches are handcrafted at the Café with locally sourced ingredients.
We require a minimum of 10 boxed lunches per order. Please allow at least seven business days for processing.
Senior Admission Packages
Groups of 10 or more seniors (age 65+) can enjoy an exclusive admission package at the Academy. The package includes a discounted Daytime Admission rate with lunch or reserved planetarium seating. Please allow ten business days for processing.
