Member Preview: 'Tis the Season for Science

Explore the wonders of winter with ‘Tis the Season for Science at the Academy on Thursday, November 16 for a first look at the indoor snow flurries, winter crafts, icy experiments, and a penguin-themed puppet show in the Piazza. Plus, learn about bear and caribou specimens from Academy volunteer docents. Then, step outside to the East Garden to enjoy penguin- and polar bear-themed photo ops in Wander Woods, the Academy’s nature play and exploration space.

Join us for a day of festive fun:

• 9:30 am-12 pm: Winter crafts in the Piazza
• 9:30 am-5 pm: Snow flurries twice an hour in the Piazza
• 10:15 am: Seasonal Storytime at Science Today
• 10:30 am: Penguin Feeding in African Hall
• 11 am: P is for Penguin puppet show in the Piazza
• 1 pm: Wild Winter Trivia in the Piazza
