Member Preview: The World's Largest Dinosaurs

The World’s Largest Dinosaurs are coming to the Academy! Explore the amazing biology of the largest land animals to ever live: the long-necked and long-tailed sauropods. The World’s Largest Dinosaurs takes visitors beyond the bones and into the bodies of these massive marvels, shedding light on how heart rate, respiration, metabolism, and reproduction are linked to size.
Special Member Preview programming:
- 9:30 am-3 pm outside Forum: Sauropod dinosaur craft
- 10-11 am outside Forum: Meet & Greet with Dr. Scott Sampson, paleontologist and Academy Executive Director (formerly known as Dr. Scott from PBS Kids' Dinosaur Train)
- 11:30 am in Piazza: Sauropod Adventure! an interactive stage program where your choices determine what happens to a newly hatched sauropod dinosaur
- 12-3:30 pm in Forum: Living Large engagement with Academy docents discovering what the sauropod dinosaurs of the past and the blue whales of today might have in common
- Plus, Dino Trivia pop up program in the Piazza
