On Thursday, May 18, Academy members are invited to swoop in for an advance viewing of our new exhibit, Pterosaurs: Flight in the Age of Dinosaurs–the largest exhibit about these creatures ever mounted in the United States.
Marvel at life-size models and ancient fossils of the largest flying animals that ever lived. Explore an action-packed Cretaceous seascape diorama. Take flight with a cutting-edge interactive and use your body to “pilot” a pterosaur through virtual prehistoric landscapes.

The True Pterosaur

Pterosaurs often show up in movies and books but facts aren't always center stage. Join us for this theatrical comedy in which a scientist and a director attempt to create a scientifically accurate music video about pterosaurs–with a little help from Academy members like you.
Storytelling Through Time
Science Today Station, 11 am
Storytime with a prehistoric twist. Don’t miss this adventure with mysterious animals from over 200 million years ago. Recommended for children 2-8 years old.
