Kerbal Space Program Demonstration: Defending Earth from Asteroids
Scott Manley, Astronogamer and Asteroid Expert
Bring your computer to the Forum Gallery on the second floor and come ready to play as Scott Manley, astronogamer and asteroid expert, walks us through virtually defending the Earth from asteroids using Kerbal Space Program, a spacecraft simulation game known for its realistic physics. Guests with computers will be able to participate in building and flying their own virtual spacecraft in defense of the Earth.
Scott Manley is the Astronogamer - a rare fusion of gaming and science in one powerful combination. Able to deliver astonishing scientific facts while flying, or crashing digital simulations of spacecraft, he earned his degree in Astronomy and Physics from the University of Glasgow and a Masters Degree in IT and Computational Physics, again from Glasgow.
