Aurora and Eclipse in 3D

From eclipses to the aurora borealis, beautiful interactions between our Sun and Earth have captivated curious minds for millennia. Join the American Museum of Natural History's Director of Astrovisualization Carter Emmart, NASA solar scientists Masha Kuznetsova and Leila Mays, and Jon Linker, Predictive Science Inc., as they explain these phenomena and the science behind them. This program includes visualizations of the Sun and Earth’s entwined magnetic fields, NASA observations from the August 2017 total solar eclipse, and a screening of Aurora Borealis, a 3D film directed by Ikuo Nakamura.
