Academy Update Thursday NightLife: 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm Capacity limited, reservations required

Explore what Academy researchers are doing behind the scenes and out in the field in this live planetarium show. Co-Directors of the Center for Biodiversity and Community Science, Alison Young and Dr. Rebecca Johnson, will introduce you to one of our new strategic initiatives, Thriving California, and will share how sea stars play a critical role in California’s rocky intertidal and kelp forest ecosystems.

PLANETARIUM PASSES

  • Planetarium passes are required for the 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, and 9:30 pm shows.
  • Passes are $5 each and may be purchased online or at the ticket window. Since shows do sell out, we always recommend buying in advance.
  • Please arrive at the planetarium 15 minutes before your ticketed showtime for seating. We run a tight spaceship!
