Medical, Dental, and Vision
The Academy offers competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits for full-time employees. Part-time employees are offered competitive medical and vision benefits. Some Academy health plans are covered at 100%.
The Academy provides all employees access to a 403(b) retirement plan. Employees may begin contributing to their retirement plan on the first of the month following their hire date. After one year of employment, the Academy will match 100% of an employee’s 403(b) contributions, up to 5% of the employee’s salary.
The Academy offers a pre-tax commuter benefit for transit and parking as well as an incentive for using alternative modes of transportation (walk, bike, carpool, or public transportation).
Academy employees enjoy free admission to a variety of Bay Area museums, zoos, and aquariums.
Academy employees are eligible for free or discounted Academy memberships, as well as discounts at the Café, Terrace, and retail stores.
