The K12 Lab Network at Stanford University's d.school hosts design thinking workshops for educators, as well as other experiences and resources.
From the K12 Lab wiki page:
"Design thinking is a methodology for creative problem solving. You can use it to inform your own teaching practice, or you can teach it to your students as a framework for real-world project."
The next workshop is scheduled for April 6-7, 2015. Applications are currently being accepted. There is no cost to those admitted, but transportation and lodging is the responsibility of the attendee.
Applicants will be notified of their admission status by February 1, 2015.
