The four-story rainforest dome inside the Academy

Member Preview: A Refreshed Rainforest
October 12, opens at 10 am

Members will be the first to see a revitalized, refreshed exhibit that will feature over a dozen new animal species, seven new observation stations, four new interactive experiences, and much more. No reservations necessary.

Brunches are back! Visit the West Garden for fresh air, a special menu of La Boulangerie pastries and quiches for purchase, and a complimentary mimosa or orange juice to start your morning. No reservations necessary.

Join us for a special screening of Chasing Coral, the acclaimed new documentary about vanishing coral reefs—and what's being done to save them. After the film, stay for the Q&A with Academy coral biologist Dr. Rebecca Albright and invertebrate expert Dr. Terry Gosliner. RSVP Required.

Hidden Treasures, Fantastic Finds, Incredible Impact

This hour-long walk will reveal some hidden plant and animal treasures in our collections while providing the backstory on several important new Academy discoveries.

Free for members; space is limited. Upon arrival, sign up at the Info Desk in the front lobby.

Join Guadalupe of Colors of Spanish for an interactive, rainforest-themed (October 10) or winter-themed (October 31) Spanish storytime. Enjoy song, stories, music, and movement as you start your littlest ones on the path to bilingualism! For 1-5 years with parents; siblings welcome.
