You may have heard the NGSS buzzword of “phenomena based learning,” but how exactly can you adjust your teaching practices to align with this?  Join us to dig deeper into phenomena and reboot one of your existing science units-- or even build one from scratch.

In this workshop, we will share how we redesigned a science unit to revolve around an anchoring phenomenon, and provide supported planning time to help you redesign a unit from your own classroom.  We will work together to sketch out prototypes of units over the course of the workshop, and deepen our understanding of what phenomena can do for student learning.

The “Exploring Phenomena” workshop is a suggested, but not required, prerequisite.
