About the Show (Grades 6-12)

Duration: Approximately 30 minutes

It takes a team of people with diverse backgrounds, talents and skills, working under unique sky conditions, to make a world-class observatory succeed. Big Astronomy will introduce you to cutting-edge telescopes in the remote mountains of Chile and to the people who make sure these instruments operate day and night, unlocking the secrets of the universe.

Tips for Scheduling Free Seats in the Planetarium

Big Astronomy (Grades 6-12) is scheduled at 11:30 am from April 21-28, 2023, in celebration of International Astronomy Day.

A total of 100 seats are available for school groups, and seats are booked on a first-come, first-served basis as field trip applications roll in.
