Group Tickets - Daytime
Designed for groups who have a limited amount of time at the Academy, have a larger group than can be accommodated by the Behind-the-Scenes Tour, or for those who want a guided overview of the exhibits. Choose from the Living Roof and Green Building Tour, focusing on the Academy’s unique commitment to sustainability in all facets of the facility; or the Rainforests of the World and Steinhart Aquarium Tour where you’ll explore some of Earth's most fragile ecosystems. For ages 12 years and older.
Looking for a fun and interactive experience designed just for kids? Then our Children’s Adventure Tours are perfect for you and your little ones! For ages 5 years
and older with adult chaperones. One tour per day. Capacity 12 people per tour. Discounted group rate is available for 5 or more people.

For groups that want to explore the museum at leisure and at their own pace. General Admission tickets are a “one ticket, one price” option that include access to all exhibits and shows. Please note some exhibits and shows are age specific, while others are capacity controlled and subject to availability on the day of your visit. All ages.
Group Tickets - Evening
Why count sheep when you could count geckos, butterflies, sharks and penguins? Camp out for a night at the Academy, and you’ll see the museum in a whole new light. For ages 5-17 years with adult chaperones. For more details and to book online click here.

Group Visit Guidelines and Information
The Academy provides these guidelines for groups:
- Group rates are available for groups of 10 or more.
- Smaller groups interested in Academy Tours may call (888) 670-4433 or purchase tickets online.
- California-based youth groups may apply here for a visit at specially discounted rates.
- California-based school groups of students in grades pre-K through 12 may apply here for a visit at specially discounted field trip rates.
- The entire group must be fully assembled at the time of entry.
- We provide timed ticketing at a separate entry for groups.
- Group rates are available daily. However, there may be some restrictions and blackout dates. Those dates will be provided upon your request.
- All group reservations must be made in advance and require pre-payment.

Field trip reservations are available for formal California school groups of students in grades pre-K through 12, including preschool, at heavily discounted rates.

Lunch & Dining Gift Cards |

To make eating easy, groups can pre-purchase box lunches or dining gift cards for their visit. Simply download the booking form, complete and submit. The dining gift cards can be used at both the Moss Room restaurant and the Academy Café. Learn more about these two dining options.
