There are plenty of ways to enjoy a visit to the California Academy of Sciences - general admission, specialty tours, lectures, sleepovers and more. Ticket types are listed on the right. Ages 3 and under are free.
During peak periods (see below), a $5 admission surcharge is added to ticket purchases at the door. This surcharge does not apply to tickets purchased online, which are valid any day, including peak periods.

Please note: The Planetarium is very popular and tickets are handed out on a first-come first-served basis due to limited seating. Visit the cart at the planetarium theater to pickup a show pass. In addition, please remember that the show is not appropriate for kids 6 and under, and that children 3 and under are not permitted.

Tickets are non-refundable and valid for one-time use within a period of one year, starting the day they're purchased. They expire one year from the last day of the month in which they were purchased.
Tickets may be applied toward an Academy membership when you visit. Learn More
