Ryan Wyatt, Director of the Morrison Planetarium

Tom Kennedy, Director of Production

Come see a full screening of Habitat Earth and then meet the team that made it come to life. In this special behind the scenes program you will learn about the process from end to end that went into producing the show. For starters, we will watch the full show where we will plunge below the ocean’s surface to explore the dynamic relationships found in deep ocean ecosystems; dig beneath the forest floor to see how Earth’s tallest trees rely on tiny fungi to survive; and soar to new heights to witness the intricate intersection between human and ecological networks. Narrated by Frances McDormand, our latest original planetarium show features stunning visualizations of both biological and human-built networks (and of how they intersect), taking show-goers on an incredible, immersive journey through the interconnectedness of life on Earth.

Ryan Wyatt, the director of the Morrison Planetarium and science visualization studio, will be joined by Tom Kennedy who is our director of production as they take you on their personal journey for creating the final show we see on the dome. They will also bring guest speakers from the production team to dive deep into some of the more intricate details of the show. If you have ever wondered how we pull together the visuals and story line and put them together to tell a story on the canvas of our all digital dome, this presentation is sure to delight.
